IN response to ED extends lockdown, GWIZHIKITI says: There were no two ways about it. We had to extend the lockdown. The threat of COVID-19 is real. Our systems are overly exposed, hence we cannot take chances. Years of neglect and plunder by the current regime, which formed most of the past regime, have led us to the situation we find ourselves in. From breadbasket status to basket case. From world-class healthcare services, to a laughing stock. I commend President Emmerson Mnangagwa's decision not because he has done the right thing, but because he is a cornered man who had no other choice.

IN response to Govt bigwigs looting COVID-19 funds, MWENDAMERI says: I knew it. These heartless opportunists. Apparently, I understand there is more happening there than what we hear about the looting of COVID-19. These people we call our leaders are rotten to the core. They have no moral consciousness. They are busy taking advantage of their positions and feasting on funds supposed to assist the needy. Imagine that they know they have their own posh COVID-19 centres, some which were refurbished recently so that only the rich and powerful can be saved there. What about us the poor? We have no one to help us and the bloody suckers are worsening our situation. They have no shame.

IN response to Pay workers in USD: Chamisa, MBUDAYA says: Opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa should learn to shut up his mouth at other times. He should be the last person to speak about salaries. His party has failed to pay its workers, just a few dozen of them. If his party is failing to pay just a few workers, what more when he is voted into power, will he be able to pay the thousands of workers in government, parastatals, security sector and all that? He should learn to remember that talking too much is not the practical work. He tells us he has friends who will assist him run this country. Instead, he should tell us how he can use local resources in lifting Zimbabwe out of the crisis she finds herself in. He should tell us what he will do with the land policies when he is voted into power. Not this subject of salary payments which are actually burning his house. The higher a monkey goes up a tree, the more it exposes its back.

IN response to Mnangagwa’s $18bn COVID-19 economic package, extended lockdown measures, MBUDAYA says: I know the country needs to eat, but surely at a time we are facing the COVID-19 scourge, President Emmerson Mnangagwa decides to support the health sector with $1 billion, while the agriculture sector gets $6,1 billion. It doesn't make sense at all.
