IN response to ED denies deploying soldiers to Mozambique, GWIZHIKITI says: President Emmerson Mnangagwa has to clear the air, otherwise the Democratic Republic of Congo skeletons will haunt him. Some files allege that he was involved in the looting of diamonds in the DRC. So now that there is talk he is deploying soldiers to Mozambique, Mnangagwa should come out clear that Zimbabwe is the current chair of the Sadc organ on politics, defence and security co-operation. Being in that seat means he has to ensure stability in the region. And by the way, he should not forget to tell ignorant people that the chair comes on a rotational basis.

IN response to Nkomo family fights over late VP’s legacy, MWENDAMERI says: Sibangilizwe and Thandiwe should get along well. Their father, the late Vice-President Joshua Nkomo, was a unifier. He worked hard to get Zimbabweans working together. He even sacrificed his party to join Zanu PF through the Unity Accord after the 1983-87 genocide, known as the Gukurahundi massacre. So for his son and daughter to start fighting over his legacy would be like undoing everything he worked for and showed the world. Instead of washing their dirty linen in public, they should unite ideas and work on producing perfect projects.

IN response to Govt courts private sector, commercial farmers, MBUDAYA says: At least they have realised that the chaotic land reform programme was disastrous, they are now trying to woo the same people they mutilated and chucked out of farms, some even murdered, to return and feed them. They should refuse to be used. There is need for binding agreements and contracts that benefit everyone, not that only those in Zanu PF and top offices benefit. We have read stories of how Zanu PF-linked people have gone to claim ownership of farms where produce would be ready for the market. Manicaland Provincial Affairs minister Ellen Gwaradzimba’s son Remembrance Mbudzana is one such example. He has tried to take over part of a Chipinge farmer and retired Swiss banker, Richard Le Vieux. Deputy Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet Ray Ndhlukula is another example. He wrested ownership of a Figtree farm and won the court case. So the private players and commercial farmers should not be hoodwinked.

IN response to Millers resume mealie-meal sales at old prices, MBUDAYA says: Confusion is the sole word which can describe out leadership. They should work hand in glove if they are to achieve anything. Now millers are behaving as if they are going it alone, all because of lack of leadership.
