IN response to ‘Ziyambi, Zanu PF behind MDC chaos’, GWIZHIKITI says: We knew that all along. The day MDC-T acting leader Thokozani Khupe crossed the floor to join President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Political Actors Dialogue is the day she confirmed her dalliance with the system. Former presidential adviser Chris Mutsvangwa is just telling us the obvious. We know Zanu PF has always wanted to annihilate the opposition MDC since its formation. The people’s party has always been brutalised, but has always emerged a victor. Zanu PF will be history one day, and that time is not far away.
IN response to High Court blocks Khupe, MBUDAYA says: I will take this blocking with a pinch of salt, just like I did with the blocking of Zanu PF by the police to stage a demonstration at the American embassy last week. I think it’s a script meant to hoodwink us into thinking that the courts are independent and make independent rulings. What is coming in a few weeks time will be bigger than this temporary setback which is part of the script. We know the system has captured everything in this country, that is why I will not celebrate this supposed victory.
IN response to Police, army top list of human rights violators, PIKIRAYI says: Surprisingly, both institutions will always deny that they have been violating human rights. Just a few examples, Police Commissioner-General Godwin Matanga is facing a lawsuit after a Silobela man, Bhekani Moyo, was woken from his sleep and shot dead by the police in the Midlands province. In Bulawayo, Levison Ncube died in the first week of the national lockdown after being slapped by a police officer and fell headlong onto the pavement. They accused him of violating lockdown measures. In Karoi, a woman was bashed by the police and a soldier as she prepared supper in her yard. They set a dog on her. These are just a few examples of the hundreds, if not thousands, of other brutalities we are subjected to almost on a daily basis.
IN response to RBZ abandons fixed forex exchange system, MAZVANYA says: They will go to Mars and back, but their policies will never work. What instils confidence in a currency is political will, trust, functional industry, respect for human rights, policy consistency, low corruption drive, international goodwill and a whole lot others. President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration is bound to fail, and he cannot do anything to save himself.
