IN response to Zim deserves better: Mnangagwa, NYANGO says: I don’t really have the best words to describe President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s behaviour and attitude especially when the majority of the people are bearing the brunt of his poor leadership and corruption. The people have had enough of Mnangagwa’s inability to lead the country out of economic hardships, human rights abuses and corruption by some of his close family members. Mnangagwa should not hide behind droughts, cyclones, a global economic downturn and the coronavirus pandemic yet COVID-19 has affected every country in the world. We have not forgotten that when Mnangagwa came to power with the assistance of the military in 2017 he promised the people jobs, jobs, jobs and jobs. Now he has worsened the plight of the people who were better off during the late former President Robert Mugabe’s era. As the situation stands now the people can no longer wait to see his back. Mnangagwa hijacked the people’s struggle, Zimbabwe would have been better off without him.

IN response to Time running out for Mnangagwa: Buyanga, MUGRADE SEVEN says: That President Emmerson Mnangagwa has proclaimed today a national day for prayer, I have few words of advice for him. Since God hears the prayer of the righteous, what has the second republic done in this regard? The country has been experiencing abductions, torture and other human rights abuses at the hands of State security agents and God despises such behaviour. Remember God told Jeremiah to stop praying for unrepentant people. God is looking for true repentance. It is unfortunate that Mnangagwa is surrounded by surrogate prophets. This day will go to waste.

DOCTOR SWEET says: Today has been declared national day of prayer, but I personally don’t think that is the solution to the challenges that we are facing as a country. The biggest challenge we have as Zimbabwe is that our leaders are corrupt and selfish.

MAI RURU says: Given the awful behaviour by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his government to blatantly ignore genuine reforms — asking for prayer and fasting is an insult to God. Zanu PF must admit its failure, not these jokes. Fasting and praying for such, my foot!
