Tinashe stages spellbinding show
UNITED STATES-BORN R&B star, Tinashe Kachingwe, on Wednesday night staged a scintillating live show during the Coke Studio Sessions on #BeApp. Her performance lived up to the promise she made earlier on her Instagram page when she said her fans should look forward to a stunning show.
With the current lockdown measures implemented by almost all countries across the world to interrupt the virulent spread of coronavirus COVID-19, a lot of musicians had shelved public performances as a safety measure.
“I miss playing live shows sooooo much... luckily I can still do a live stream concert for you all! Can’t wait to perform “songs for you” tomorrow!! 9pm EST on @ beapplive channels and all of my channels (all proceeds go towards the Red Cross,” Tinashe wrote on the page.
Coke Studio Sessions Live performance is an exclusive collaboration between Coca-Cola and the new live music streaming platform #BeApp, Coke Studio Session which features a diverse lineup of music performances from over 100 artistes over 60 consecutive days.
One of Tinashe's fans only identified as Christopher B likened her performance to that of Beyonce and Rihanna.
“The fact that this performance was so fire like a Beyonce or Rihanna performance just blows me away that she be underrated and still never lets that shut her down, discourage her, or dull her fire. ill always have real mad love and support for Tinashe, I wrote a long dissertation like this on this video on Facebook too im passionate about my Nashe,” he said.
Another fan described Tinashe as “the queen of “Queen of virtual concerts” adding that “sounds sooo good.”
Tinashe opened up the show which will see other global renowned artists such as Katy Perry, Nicky Jam, and Griffin also billed to perfom.

Tinashe, who is still based in the US, has always expressed pride in her Zimbabwean background and once said her Shona heritage played a significant role in her art.
“My dad’s family is from Zimbabwe, and it’s a very musical culture. From my earliest memories, music was all around me. It was part of my DNA, and
I just loved everything about it,” she wrote on her official Facebook page.
Apart from music, she has also been involved in acting, featuring in films like Cora Unashamed and The Polar
Express, alongside Tom Hanks, and in the sitcom, Two and A Half Men.
Tinashe was born on February 6, 1993, in Lexington, Kentucky.
She is the eldest child of college professors Michael and Aimie Kachingwe.
From 2007 to 2011, she was a member of the girl group, The Stunners. After the outfit's disbandment, she released the self-recorded mixtapes In Case We Die (2012) and Reverie (2012).
She later signed with RCA Records and released her third mix tape, Black Water (2013). Her debut single, 2 On, reached number one on the Rhythmic airplay chart, and peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Tinashe's debut studio album, Aquarius (2014), was noted by music critics as one of the most “solid” debuts by a new female artist in years and earned her nominations for Soul Train and BET Awards.
Her collaboration with Snakehips and Chance the Rapper , All My Friends, won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song in 2016. Her second studio offering, Nightride (2016), reached number 8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the US while Joyride (2018), her third studio album, peaked at number 58 on the Billboard 200 chart and reached number 6 on the UK
R&B Albums chart.
