IN response to Govt, workers face off over US$ salaries, MBUDAYA says: We still have a long way to go with this crisis. Government will never accede to its workers’ demands. To worsen matters, bureaucrats will always bungle the economy and fail to fix their mess. This happened during the late former President Robert Mugabe’s era, and it’s now happening under his successor Emmerson Mnangagwa. This always happen when the country puts politics ahead of the economy. We have a committed workforce in Zimbabwe, people who want to see this country develop. We have dams, natural resources, roads, other infrastructure, plenty of almost everything, but we just don’t have the right leadership. Zimbabwe will never come out of this quagmire as long as it has a leadership which lacks leadership qualities.

IN response to Chaos over MPs recall in Khupe party, PIKIRAYI says: The good thing is that those in MDC-T led by Thokozani Khupe are starting to see light. The project is doomed to fail. Zanu PF only wants to see a fractured opposition as we head towards the 2023 elections. Seeing that it has no chance against MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa, Zanu PF will do everything in its power to destabilise the main opposition. Every movement has its own pulls and pushes, but those in Khupe’s camp should quickly retrace their footsteps to the big tent — the MDC Alliance.

IN response to Byo pushes for out of court settlement, GWIZHIKITI says: Bulawayo City Council should consider adopting recommendations made by South African consultant Paul Kruger that it should improve its water infrastructure to bring the precious liquid to residents, who are now going for up to six days without water. The sewage reticulation infrastructure must also be improved. We will continue witnessing such challenges as long as the city fathers ignore these problems and concentrate on lining their pockets, buying posh cars and renting out council land for a song. Council must sink boreholes in aquifers. Also, central government has politicked for too long with the Matabeleland Zambezi Water Project, which seems ambitious, but is doable if the government gets serious.

IN response to Doctors, WHO warn of COVID-19 second wave, JOKONIYA says: Sadly, the number of local infections is rising, yet all sectors of the economy seem to have opened up. We are doomed.
