IN response to Katsande defends Khama, FAMBAI says: It is unfortunate that Willard Katsande is defending Khama Billiat who seems to have gone past his prime time. Katsande needs to understand that Billiat is past his age and is no longer capable of doing what he used to do when he was a 20-year-old, at his prime time. What is now left on the player is just the name. He is no longer a threat to goalkeepers.

IN response to Mnangagwa insincere on Gukurahundi: CSOs, HWENJE says: The Gukurahundi issue will continue to be a burning issue because the Zanu PF-led government has failed to resolve it. All the late former President Robert Mugabe did was to admit that it was a moment of madness and it would never be repeated again. What President Emmerson Mnangagwa needs to do is to apologise and try to find an amicable solution to solve it once and for all.

IN response to Chiadzwa villagers turn to herbal farming, STANZA says: It is very sad that Chiadzwa villagers who were supposed to have benefited from diamonds mined from the area are now turning to herbal farming. Diamonds should have transformed their standard of living. Unfortunately, the government stole their future. Top government officials are developing pot bellies and lining their pockets at the expense of the suffering majority. What hurts most is that they failed to develop the country using diamond proceeds and now the impoverished Chiadzwa villagers are pining their hopes on herbs.

IN response to We’ll not be silenced: Bishops, TOM says: The Anglican Council of Zimbabwe is very correct to tell the government that they should not threaten the church for carrying out its spiritual duty of being God’s voice. The biggest problem with the President Emmerson Mnangagwa-led government is that it wants to tell the churches what to do and say yet it is the churches that should tell the politicians what God wants. Mnangagwa must listen to bishops and not try and silence them. In the end, Mnangagwa shall be a loser if he is not careful because he is wading in murky waters where he does not know what he is stepping on. He has to be very careful when dealing with churches otherwise 2023 will be too far for him because people might flood the streets calling for his head.
