Zanu PF must have order

- Chiripo Chikuru

IS the Zanu PF-led government leadership living in a different world or country?

If they were living in Zimbabwe and are aware of the sad reality on the ground, where the ordinary people are suffering, then they should agree with everything that was raised in the Catholic bishops pastoral letter.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the biggest beneficiary of the November 2017 military coup, which saw tanks rolled onto the streets, has not shown that he has the knowledge, skill, ability and social orientation to handle the crisis we face as a nation.

Mnangagwa has been in government since 1980, yet he never displayed any leadership skills.

How does someone who has been in the government structures fail to notice the late former President Robert Mugabe’s shortcomings and correct them?

He has dismally failed to unite the people so that the nation prospers.

How on earth can someone claim to lead the fight against corruption when some of his close associates are accused of being involved in shady deals like the former Health and Child Care minister Obadiah Moyo, who stands accused of mishandling COVID-19 funds?

How on earth can Mnangagwa lead the nation towards respecting human rights when MDC Alliance activists are being abducted under his watch?

How on earth does a President who is supposed to unite the nation refuse to acknowledge that we have a crisis in the country, both politically and economically?

Surely, Mnangagwa’s Zanu PF administration needs to introspect.

Maybe if they are honest enough, they will see that the problem is themselves and not those calling the government to order.
