Clueless Zivhu plea a bad joke

-

IAM not sure whether I should thank fired Zanu PF Chivi South legislator Killer Zivhu or rather rebuke him. Why, because I don’t know whether what he did was a kind gesture or an act of mockery.

Recently I saw a picture of miserable teachers queuing for a 10kg bag of mealiemeal, a 2-litre bottle of cooking oil and a packet of soya mince.

To me, it is nothing more than an introduction to grocery, which barely lasts a week for a family of six. My questions now are: Are you going to pay school fees for these teachers? Are you going to buy them medication? Are you going to buy them clothes? The teachers were dressed in secondhand clothes. Are you going to do this every week, every month every year? If not then you are a bad joke.

It is common knowledge that Zivhu is a holder of one “O” Level subject, a testimony that he has not been fond of education since childhood. What does he think teachers from other schools are surviving on. Does he know that we have teachers paying rentals of US$50 per room? If not, then this serves to inform him.

Educators have children at universities, colleges and schools, so can Zivhu cater for their needs?

My advice to Zivhu is he must consult teachers for extra lessons so that he can be an “O” Level certificate holder. No wonder Zanu PF gave him marching orders because he is a bad joke.

Incapacitation is not a choice, but an involuntary situation that was brought out by pathetic salaries. I challenge him to make a budget of a family of six and see if the $4 000 RTGS is a justifiable salary. I hope he will see this letter and open his eyes wider and stop spewing bile on the teachers.

Again, President Emmerson Mnangagwa is yet to prove if he is a listening leader or he will never leave any legacy like the late former President Robert Mugabe.
