ED worse than Mugabe, Smith combined

SINCE two years ago when the so-called new dispensation took over power after rigging the election, robbing Nelson Chamisa of a clear victory, we have witnessed the highest level of lawlessness.

It is now in the public domain that President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration has become a law unto itself.

Many crimes have been committed ranging from corruption and human rights abuses, with the culprits going scot-free because of their connections to the centre of power.

We have since noticed that those who committed crimes under the banner of Zanu PF are still walking scot-free.

The new dispensation has now perfected the art of oppression even worse than the late former Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith and former President Robert Mugabe.

At least during the Smith era, everybody was able to put food on the table, send their children to school and even buy clothes. What we are going through currently under Mnangagwa’s regime is worse.

More than 95% of the country’s population is unemployed, many people cannot put food on the table and school dropouts have increased.

What now boggles our minds is that Mnangagwa is blaming sanctions, yet in reality we all know that it is corruption which has wrought all the suffering we are going through.

To make matters worse, all the people who dare expose State excesses are labelled agents of the West.

We have people like journalist Hopewell Chin’ono who was incarcerated for 45 days after he exposed the mishandling of US$60 million mobilised to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
