IN response to ED frets over graft links, CHANDI says: I don’t really understand why Information minister Monica Mutsvangwa is leaping to the defence of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his family. What we have to understand is that a person cannot just drop the name of the First Family from nowhere. There must be something that is happening behind the scenes. We have not forgotten that the First Family, particularly Collins, was implicated in the mishandling of millions of United States dollars meant to fight COVID-19. Still they distanced themselves from the allegations despite being named. We then thought they had learnt from their mistakes. This time, they have been implicated in Zimbabwe Miners Federation president Henrietta Rushwaya’s alleged 6kg gold smuggling saga. We have no option but to take Rushwaya and her accomplice’s word.

IN response to Zim loses 30 tonnes gold to smuggling, FAMBAI says: We have been hearing such statements for a long time, even the late former President Robert Mugabe once claimed that the country had lost US$15 billion in diamond revenue to smuggling. Now the question is: who is really plundering our resources and where are they getting the audacity to do that? Why are they not being arrested? We now believe that these people are closer to the echelons of power and they are heavily protected. Smuggling 30 tonnes of gold in one calendar year is not a joke and by now, if these resources were well managed, we would have been a better country. It’s unfortunate that President Emmerson Mnangagwa has chosen to blame sanctions for the collapse of the economy, yet it is his corrupt hangerson who have caused all this economic mess.

IN response to Zimta under fire for ‘selling out’, CHANDI says: If the Zimbabwe Teachers’ Association (Zimta) is a professional teachers’ body as it claims, then why did it secretly meet with President Emmerson Mnanagwa yet all along they had been negotiating together with other unions? I smell a rat. Zimta has sold out.

IN response to Outcry over 50% Zesa tariff hike, FAMBAI says: If the situation has stabilised as Finance minister Mthuli Ncube would like us to believe, then why are prices of basic commodities increasing?
