IN response to Civil servants accept pay hike, SHANGWA says: The Zanu PF-led administration must be ashamed of itself for paying teachers a salary that is less than US$200 yet under the late former President Robert Mugabe, they were getting US$520. We were sold a dummy by the new dispensation. They preached what people wanted to hear. The new dispensation is just there to amass wealth after toppling Mugabe. Those in power or with political connections are now taking the opportunity to plunder resources and loot everything in their path. They do not care what everyone else is getting, as long their pockets are full. They should always know that civil servants, even ordinary citizens, deserve better salaries which enable them to send their children to schools.
IN response to ED launches 5-year economic blueprint, RUDO says: President Emmerson Mnangagwa should know that he cannot sway our minds. A few years ago, they brought misery to our doorsteps after introducing the Transitional Stabilisation Programme ( TSP), which did nothing other than condemn many of us to abject poverty. The TSP, launched in 2018, was accompanied by austerity measures which resulted in the public being heavily taxed after the inception of the 2% intermediated electronic transaction tax. Furthermore, there were massive price increases for basic commodities while the Zimdollar’s value crashed, rendering salaries useless. The TSP programme never achieved anything positive except misery for the people as everyone has been reduced to a vendor. Mnangagwa’s new five-year economic blueprint, the National Development Strategy One is just a waste of resources as nothing good will ever come out of the Zanu PF government.
