IN response to Defiant teachers receive threats, CHIMHINI says: Now we find ourselves in a very sad situation where some wayward parents are siding with the Zanu PF-led government in exploiting teachers. Teachers are humans too, who have their own families to look after. This so- called bogus Zimbabwe Parents Union fronted by Martin Mazivisa is just trying to give us a sideshow. Mazivisa must come clean because the teachers’ demands are not out of this world. The educators are only reminding President Emmerson Mnangagwa that they need their salaries to be restored to the equivalence of US$520, an amount they were earning during the late former President Robert Mugabe’s era. People like Mazivisa should not be allowed anywhere near our education system.

SHUMBA says: The issue of poisoning in the ruling Zanu PF party is rearing its ugly head again. In the past, we would hear about road traffic accidents, but now it seems poisoning has taken the place of accidents. First it was President Emmerson Mnangagwa, then as Vice-President. If we are not careful, this poisoning thing will be used against the masses, particularly when they stage demonstrations or those deemed too vocal. The district co- ordinating committee structures should not have been resuscitated, no wonder the late former President Robert Mugabe suspended them, saying they were causing divisions. Factionalism has bedevilled Zanu PF for sometime now, but what is taking place now is a cause for concern to every right-thinking Zimbabwean because it poses a serious threat to the prevailing peace.

IN response to Top Zanu PF officials under fire for boycotting Mnangagwa visit, RANGA says: We call upon President Emmerson Mnangagwa to do some soul-searching because the voice of the people is the voice of God. If Mnangagwa can be honest with himself, he should realise that it is time for him to leave office because his own people within Zanu PF no longer want him as he has proved to be a failure. It’s time to go Mr President, your time is up.
