IN response to Umfurudzi Game Park miner loses claims in violent takeover, SHAVA says: This sad story is a tip of iceberg. It reflects what investors have been going through at the hands of Zanu PF since the turn of the millennium. This is an indictment to the Zimbabwe is open for business mantra that the so- called second republic has been preaching since the November 2017 coup that sent former President Robert Mugabe packing. This Boko Haram approach in solving disputes is a disservice to Zimbabwe. At this moment Zimbabwe is desperately in need of investment. If we can treat our own this way, what about foreigners? Property rights must be religiously respected. This will no doubt attract investment.

NIKISI says: What is happening at Umfurudzi Game Park is a clear indication that our country is now an Animal Farm where laws of the jungle apply. Shamva North legislator Oscar Gorerino should be brought to book. Sponsoring violence in this day and age to solve disputes should not be tolerated in the new dispensation. Since the case is being dealt with by the courts, parties should allow the responsible arm of the State to carry out its mandate.

IN response to 9 MDC Alliance councillors ditch Chamisa, join Khupe, SHANGWITI says: It is a shame that the councillors have chosen to sell their souls for a few pieces of silver. Unfortunately, it is the struggle that is derailed when pseudo-revolutionaries take charge. These councillors have decided to form an unholy alliance with acting MDC-T leader Thokozani Khupe and Douglas Mwonzora so that they might have a few morsels. They need to be reminded that this is their last supper. History will judge them harshly. Showing their allegiance to Khupe, who has decided to go to bed with Zanu PF, is betrayal of the highest order. It is unfortunate that these councillors’ political careers will come to an end in the 2023 elections when Zimbabweans are given a chance to chose their leaders. It is clear that MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa is surrounded by greedy people who are in politics for material gain and positions. They were elected on an MDC Alliance ticket and, therefore, they should have remained in that party.
