IN response to Govt extends lockdown by 2 weeks, GWIZHIKITI says: Good move by government, but I hope authorities also complement this by increasing testing in communities and funding the health sector so that we succeed in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

IN response to 80 stranded in Cyclone Eloise destruction path, HAWARD BASHOMA says: Our leaders must do more for rural communities. If these people were living in well-built houses, they would not have suffered like this. Government should also consider accommodation as a human right and start building houses for the needy in the rural areas instead of focusing on urban dwellers. By developing rural areas, it also reduces rural-urban migration and in turn, reduces urban unemployment, housing shortages and a lot of other rot resulting from urbanisation. This is not rocket science, it’s simple logic.

IN response to Zinara increases toll fees, SHUNGU says: The new dispensation’s type of leadership is similar to bush economics, to say the least. How come the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara) is increasing tollgate fees by 40% yet the people are made to believe that the Zimbabwe dollar is now stable. It is unfortunate that government approves all these increases, but it doesn’t even think of raising salaries for civil servants such as teachers, who are earning a basic salary of $14 000. Should we continue to believe and have faith that the captains are in control yet we are seeing their shortcomings and broad daylight lies? Why should they increase tollgate fees if the situation on the ground is stable?

IN response to Army, police crack teams must go: Beitbridge residents,

SAMBI says: If what is being reported in Beitbridge is true, then it is pathetic and uncalled for considering that the soldiers and police are the ones entrusted to protect the nation. Issues of bribery are at the centre stage, so it should not be a surprise one day if our State security agents are bought by the enemy. We need to restore order in this country. We cannot be like chaff flowing along the river, with no one in control. Our State security agents are no longer upholding the rule of law.

IN response to Kadewere makes his Marca, SIR MATSHAKO says: The writing is on the wall that Tino Kadewere is destined to make a name for himself, most probably in the English Premier League, La Liga or Serie A, that is if keeps up his current form. Famba Tino famba.
