IN response to Investigation, prosecution missing link in corruption fight: TIZ, KANGAI says: If indeed, the government is “too poor to pin down corrupt bigwigs”, there could be no greater cause than to seek the assistance of the international community for financial assistance and even capacity building, given the devastating effects of corruption.

IN response to Former Labour minister Kagonye arrested, MAZIBUKO says: What is surprising is that the Zimbabwe Republic Police is quick to arrest before completing investigations. Why don’t they complete investigations and then arrest the suspect so that the case can have a solid base at the time of prosecution. This will enable the courts to speed up the trial process. What we want is conviction. We are tired of individuals looting and leaving the ordinary citizens to bear the brunt of the economic collapse of our country.

ZHONJA says: Good at arresting former ministers, what about those still in government? It seems the anti-corruption dragnet is targeting politicians in the wrong basket. No wonder these people are afraid of relinquishing power.

IN response to Byo needs water, not political rhetoric, ERICADO TROLIP says: Where are the members of Parliament and councillors for the area who are supposed to develop it? Is it not the councillors and MPs who should lead development. Surprisingly, the same people will be voted again into the same positions yet they are not delivering. Devolution is the answer to these problems. Why is the government so afraid of it?

IN response to Windfall for MPs, councillors, PHILANI DUBE says: Paying people for not doing anything is what the government is good at. The increments are supposed to be performance-based. Service delivery in this country is bad yet people are rewarded for it. Let these people perform and be paid. Our Members of Parliament and councillors are the worst performers in this country. They hardly have any success attached to their names.

IN response to Council exchanges 150ha for grader, fuel pumps, FARAI CROSSWELL MUKONO says: This is why we say parliamentary oversight is important. These are shady deals that cripple service delivery at council level. Land cannot be exchanged as simple as that. Can the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission look into that matter please?
