IN response to Malaba fallout: Ziyambi accuses EU, US, CHIEF

CHIDUKU says: Justice minister Ziyambi Ziyambi should exercise the right to appeal against the High Court judgment without attacking judicial officers. It seems as if he wants to whip the judges who will preside over the appeal into line. But before he does that, he should bear in mind that the appeal will not suspend the judgment.

MAI RURU says: Appeal? Which court will entertain the case if Justice minister Ziyambi Ziyambi appeals against the High Court judgment made on Saturday? Supreme Court or Constitutional Court? Even though the appeal is a constitutional matter, who will preside over it as all judges are conflicted as they are respondents in the matter? These are interesting times.

GOGO VARURU says: In appealing against the High Court judgment, Justice minister Ziyambi Ziyambi is trying to cover up for his incompetence in ill-advising the government to fast-track the Constitutional Amendment No 2 Bill. His remarks are an attack on the Constitution and Zimbabweans. But he should understand that as young people, we have the generational mandate to defend it! Food for thought!

DUMISANI MAPUNGWANA

says: What is so special about former Chief Justice Luke Malaba that Zanu PF desperately wants to extend his tenure? We have capable judges who can take over and serve the country with distinction. Is he so indispensable to warrant the ire of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs minister Ziyambi Ziyambi and his team?

IN response to Let’s mend Zim image together: Shava, TARIRO

NDORO says: You destroyed, not just the image, but the country and livelihoods. Moving forward, there can only be two options available. (1) You fix the country you singlehandedly destroyed, which of course is impossible given your ineptitude, or (2) You step aside and allow young and capable citizens to take the country forward. No knowledge or rocket science is required for anyone to understand that in practical terms, only the second option is feasible. You are in that office on borrowed time.
