IN response to Drama at Malaba contempt hearing, PIKIRAYI says: What exactly has Chief Justice Luke Malaba done for this country which makes his name make headlines in the newspapers everyday? It’s not like he was our own Rambo during the liberation war. Why don’t people want to go home and retire when their time is up? We had former President Robert Mugabe clinging onto power for decades, ruining everything he had built, and also keeping the old guard which would sleep during meetings. We are starting to have that problem again.

MUZVAGWA says: Justice Webster Chinamhora has shown that he is a man of good standing. He has refused to be cowed into silence. I believe there were attempts to arm-twist him. The bigger problem is that Malaba was reportedly harassing the other judges, and now they all want to see his back. President Emmerson Mnangagwa might have his way to see Malaba back, but the relations are frosty in the Judiciary. Malaba should just go. We cannot have the Judiciary being held to ransom by a few elite individuals.

IN response to Timveos appointed PetroTrade board member, JULIUS JULIUS says: This simply shows that Zanu PF no longer has sharp brains. All the brains are in the MDC Alliance. So Zanu PF is fishing those that they know have “criminal dockets or have issues they can arrest them for” then use them for its selfish ends.

IN response to Govt approves dam construction, MBUDAYA says: I am inspired by the pace President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration is carrying out projects in this country. It’s so refreshing that after so many years of infrastructure damage, government has mobilised resources to rebuild that broken infrastructure. Some roads are being widened, others rehabilitated, dams are being constructed, Hwange 7 and 8 power project is also on course.

IN response to ‘Challenging constitutional amendments a tall order’, MAZVANYA says: Every leader, especially in Africa, wants to make laws that favour their stay in power. To make things worse, it’s the same culprits that preach democracy by day and practise autocracy by night. They indicate left and turn right. The 2013 Constitution was agreed to by all Zimbabweans, so why should the powerful ones tamper with it? Government has failed or delayed to align certain provisions with the 2013 Constitution.
