IN response to Police dither on dispersing Mapostori, PIKIRAYI says: There is selective application of the law in Zimbabwe. President Emmerson Mnangagwa is no different from his predecessor, the late Robert Mugabe. Actually, I think Mnangagwa is worse. He is so brazen in the way he does things. Why is he letting the Johane Marange apostolic sect members continue to gather in their thousands in Mafararikwa area, Bocha, in Manicaland province? It’s anyone’s guess that he is trying to gain political mileage. What is more dangerous is that the Delta variant is ripping Zimbabwe apart, yet the apostolic sect is known not to take modern medication.

IN response to ‘Mnangagwa has fulfilled only 2% of 2018 pledges’, GWIZHIKITI says: What a joke! I have always said it that President Emmerson Mnangagwa is the most useless leader this country has ever had. He made 237 promises in the run-up to the 2018 elections, and has only fulfilled five. Actually, Zanu PF’s economic blueprints have never worked. In 2013, the ruling party touted the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation, which yielded nothing. In 2018, Mnangagwa introduced the Transitional Stabilisation Programme, which was a monumental failure and was abandoned after two years, after which we were introduced to the National Development Strategy 1. All these are big jokes.

IN response to Malaba case ‘now lawfare’: Govt, MBUDAYA says: It’s very unfortunate for Information secretary Ndavaningi Mangwana to claim that people challenging beleaguered Chief Justice Luke Malaba’s tenure extension are engaging in lawfare. Talk of the pot calling the kettle black. It’s actually his masters who are the architects of lawfare. They are abusing the courts to settle political scores.

IN response to NGOs call govt to order, MAZVANYA says: Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) should be very careful in the way they respond to government. Harare provincial development coordinator (PDC) Tafadzwa Muguti is not doing this himself, he is doing his masters’ bidding. Masvingo PDC Jefter Sakupwanya is also doing the same in his province. Government will leave no stone unturned in its quest to clip NGOs’ wings. President Emmerson Mnangagwa wants to create a one-party State system at all costs.
