IN response to Govt moves to strike off ghost pensioners, MAONAZVANGU says: How is it possible for someone to become a ghost pensioner unless they have connections within the system? After slashing out ghost pensioners, government should move on to review payouts which the pensioners are getting. It is a pity that the pension payouts are not enough to buy basic needs. Pension payouts should match the poverty datum line and should be reviewed in line with inflationary pressures.

IN response to UK freezes Tagwirei assets, BHOROBHENI says: Assets freeze has not worked in as far as the Zimbabwe context is concerned. These connected people will always look for ways of looting the country dry. There is no doubt Kudakwashe Tagwirei will use intermediaries whenever he wants to do business in the United Kingdom. The UK government should find other ways of punishing looters other than asset freeze.

IN response to PTUZ demands data bundles for teachers, MAI RURU says: I agree with teachers unions that government should avail free data bundles for teachers to enable them to conduct virtual lessons in the absence of face-to-face learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As long as government does not provide essentials to enable online learning, teachers will always look for means of providing a service to children and in most cases, conducting extra lessons. In other words, capacitating teachers and providing them with data bundles is another way of fighting COVID-19 because extra lessons have become supper spreaders.

ISRAEL MARIWO MUYENGWA

says: And where will the children get data to attend those lessons? Parents cannot afford the data, which is way too expensive for someone who is probably going to bed on an empty tummy. Times are equally hard for them too!

IN response to Expelled Zanu PF official calls for ED impeachment: RODERICK RHUDANE says: Surprising and unbelievable to hear someone with a strong Zanu PF background talking about human rights. President Emmerson Mnangagwa is just upholding the party’s DNA.

PHATISANI NYATHI says: President Emmerson Mnangagwa is not the problem, Zimbabweans must understand this hard fact. The late former President Robert Mugabe was not the problem, but Zanu PF is. In other words, impeaching Mnangagwa will not solve the problem, but removing Zanu PF will. Zimbabwe needs a system overhaul.
