IN response to MDC name is ours, no one else: Mwonzora, DARLINGTON RUFAI says: I strongly believe that even if MDC Alliance comes up with a new name, it won’t lose its supporters. Therefore, it’s high time it did away with anything which bears the letters MDC. Fighting for a name gives MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora relevance. Nelson Chamisa and his team must act now before it is too late. People support Chamisa and his policies, not the party name.

RYAN CHIPANGO says: If I remember well, we had Zanu PF and Zanu Ndonga, so what is so special about the name MDC? Anyone should be allowed to use that name, what is important is the support base. Morgan Tsvangirai died a long time ago, so he should be allowed to rest in peace. Continuing to drag his name into this mess is an insult to his legacy.

LUWIN FANI says: Even if MDC Alliance changes its name, Douglas Mwonzora will still claim the new one to be his. Mwonzora is a bigger problem than Zanu PF. Even if we call the party Chamisa, Mwonzora will be assisted by Zanu PF-captured courts to claim its ownership.

IN response to Zim documents citizens in foreign lands, OBIZIWEYO O SIANDA SITHOLE says: The Zimbabwean government has no interest in assisting its citizens domiciled in the diaspora. Will it be able to give our children identity documents or passports in the event that they need them? I wonder where they will start.

KENNIAS PHOTIZO DUBE says: This is like taking plastics, pieces of cloth and tying them together to make a soccer ball. A lot of those people living in other countries didn’t use the correct channels to go to those countries, so it will be very difficult trying to document Zimbabwean citizens in the diaspora.

IN response to ‘No vaccinations, no by-elections’, MWANANGUNDU says: Everyday, government is trying to find an excuse to postpone by-elections. I doubt they will ever be held. COVID-19 is actually a blessing in disguise for the ruling Zanu PF party. In fact, we will get to 2023 before they are held. Meanwhile, the looters will be busy milking the country dry by looting resources — from gold, diamonds, buildings, farms, to elections, all in the name of COVID-19 regulations. The powers-that-be are praying that the situation continues as it is. Justice minister Ziyambi Ziyambi and his Zanu PF colleagues should know that no one can stop an idea whose time has come. Soon, we will protest against the deteriorating situation in the country.
