IN response to ‘UN envoy to meet all stakeholders’, PIKIRAYI says: The United Nations (UN) has done a good thing, otherwise President Emmerson Mnangagwa was going to feed the UN special rapporteur Alena Douhan with lies about the real situation on the ground. She has to write a comprehensive report about what is actually going on in Zimbabwe, that yes sanctions could be affecting the ordinary citizens, but corruption by the current regime is the biggest threat.

IN response to Wheels come off Mwonzora train, GWIZHIKITI says: The truth is now coming out. Douglas Mwonzora leads a very violent faction of the MDC, and which will not stop at anything to use violence against those who want to expose him. Just a few months ago, Yvonne Musarurwa was in prison, and her being released tells me that Mwonzora influenced it.

IN response to Power struggles rock ZCTU, MWANANGUNDU says: What a joke! So these organisations that are clamouring for democracy are not practising it at their institutions. The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) should just let the Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe and the Footwear Tanners and Allied Workers Union of Zimbabwe participate in the elective congress, otherwise its image has already been soiled. If true that the two organisations were informed of the decision to hold the general conference late, then they should not be affected by ZCTU’s ineptitude.

IN response to MDC Alliance not co-operating: Police, NDABANENGI says: Why would the police take more than three days to act on a case involving gunshots? I would suspect that the cleaners were doing their job at the crime scene. The police should not try to put blame on the opposition MDC Alliance for failing to co-operate with law enforcement agents. Instead, the police should find fault in itself.

IN response to Zim border delays ‘killing’ trade: SA, MWANANGUNDU says: Why is Zimbabwe always found on the wrong side? When it comes to trade, it wants to benefit when it would have sown little seed or nothing in the trade deals. With the Kazungula Bridge, President Emmerson Mnangagwa wanted to smuggle Zimbabwe through the backdoor, yet we know the Zanu PF regime has always been creating confusion in the region. Who knows? Maybe the leaders are benefiting from that confusion.
