IN response to Zidera and sanctions simplified, ZVIKOMBORERO says: Spot on. The United States Congress passed the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act (Zidera) in 2001 to punish the country for embarking on land reform programme and to set an example for other countries that wanted to follow suit. Sanctions target Zimbabwe and not individuals!

CHURU says: The author missed a lot of issues about sanctions. The opposition is wrong to say sanctions are targeted at individuals. Zimbabwe is the sole target of sanctions through Zidera.

MADZIBABA NORMAN says: Sanctions against Zimbabwe were a ticking bomb. I am sorry to say MDC Alliance is on a losing path unless its vice-president Tendai Biti and cohorts change the narrative. MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa is being led along the garden path.

IN response to Stalemate as BCC, Zanu PF vending bays fight continues, LISBERN SHONHE says: So Zanu PF supporters want to take everything for themselves? This is the reason why we have chaos in most urban areas. Land barons are selling land and the money is not going into council coffers. Despite the Justice Uchena report implicating Zanu PF in shady land deals, nothing has been done to bring perpetrators to book.

IN response to US$ bonus: Civil servants demand more, ERNEST ZEE says: Forty-one years after independence, people still cannot afford basic needs. That is pathetic. Money is only going in one direction, their direction, and even taxpayers are complaining. That is senseless!

TARIRO NDORO says: Why pay civil servants in United States if the local currency has value as they have been claiming ever since? The country is run by brainless and shameless thugs. This is the end of the road for the fake currency Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor created to facilitate the looting of the country’s resources while the majority of Zimbabweans wallow in abject poverty.

TYG MORE says: Teachers are ruining the future of our children by always shifting goal posts. What a civilised person does is resign when faced with a poor salary. They remain in service, receiving the salary they ridicule, use schools as recruitment centres for extra lessons.
