Zec suspends voter

IN response to registration, BULONGO BENKOMO says: This country is a pain. So the regime is fearing that youths, who constitute the majority of voters and are unemployed, will register to vote and kick President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his administration out. It’s quite sad how people who claim to be championing democracy are fighting the same cause. Zanu PF will never deliver change. We are cursed as long as we have this leadership.

IN response to COVID-19: Zanu PF exposes thousands, SABHUKU MATOTO says: If ever we thought the COVID-19 regulations were meant to protect us, we were telling ourselves a lie. African leaders, in particular President Emmerson Mnangagwa and eSwatini’s King Mswati III, are weaponising COVID-19 to suppress dissent. Africa needs a new crop of leaders who respect human rights, constitutions, democracy and the will of the people.

IN response to Govt speaks on ED ‘drunk’ video, MBUDAYA says: Government will try to sanitise that video, but what takes place in that video shows a different narrative. Information permanent secretary Ndavaningi Mangwana can say anything to save face, but the truth is that the emperor walked naked.

IN response to Plastic bags to be banned next year, MWANANGUNDU says: Plans have been there to ban plastic bags since time immemorial. I think it’s high time government started acting and stopped rhetoric. Kaylites have long been banned, but it’s sad that they continue to be used by backyard catering companies. There is need for continuous monitoring.

IN response to Gweru disconnects water to debtors, MENYEZWA says: Good move. We cannot continue having individuals, companies and government departments that do not pay their bills. I hope all the other local authorities follow suit. Water has to be treated before being piped to consumers, and the chemicals used are very expensive. Worse still, they are paid for in foreign currency. So let’s all pay up.

IN response to Police ban MDC Alliance celebrations, GRAPHTON GWEMZ says: Police Commissioner-General Godwin Matanga should be ashamed of himself. Why ban mere celebrations of an opposition political party when Zanu PF is busy holding rallies and going to the extent of bussing supporters?
