IN response to We’re watching you, Zanu PF tells Chamisa, TINASHE MAKATA says: Whoever is funding the MDC Alliance should not be the concern of Zanu PF. We are aware that the ruling Zanu PF party gets its funding from cartels and China. Why does Zanu PF want to interfere in the affairs of MDC Alliance as if it is its extension? Hands off MDC Alliance!

LUNGISANI MDLONGWA says: US$15 billion in diamond revenue is still unaccounted for, the US$60 million Drax International scandal is almost forgotten and the Command Agriculture is a feeding trough, but the ruling part spends most of its time tracking an opposition leader. lf Zanu PF can at least deal with the above, then it can start thinking of monitoring Nelson Chamisa. The economy is in shambles; it needs all hands on the deck.

IN response to Mthuli budget recipe for disaster: MPs, BABA RUVIMBO says: The problem is that Zimbabwe is being led by people who are out of touch with reality. Finance minister Mthuli Ncube is living in cuckoo land. MPs are justified to reject Ncube's budget — it is anti-poor and unrealistic. The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us to embrace the digital economy. But with Ncube proposing to impose a US$50 tax levy on cellphones, he is definitely going against the digitalisation drive. Mobile gadgets are now a necessity, if not an economic enabler.

SIMBARASHE says: One wonders why the Finance minister is taxing the already overtaxed and yet he announced a surplus recently. The external debt has ballooned to over $17 billion and our grandchildren will be born with a debt they can never recover from.

IN response to SRC, Fifa reach ‘agreement’, MUSOROBHANGU says: The Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) should not play Russian roulette with our football. If, indeed, it reached an “agreement” with Fifa on how matters affecting Zifa should be dealt with at their meeting on Saturday, why not make it public? Hundreds of people are earning a living through football, so if the country is banned from international football it is tantamount to killing many livelihoods. Yes, Zimbabwean football needs cleansing, but the way the SRC board carried out the exercise raises eyebrows. It seems the SRC board has an axe to grind with some Zifa board members.
