In what capacity is Mwonzora calling for dialogue?

-

MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora's political career is now hanging precariously by a thread.

His call for dialogue before elections raises eyebrows and is ridiculous.

The MDC-T leader knows that he is about to kiss goodbye to the political arena.

Zimbabweans will on March 26 punish him together with his puppet master.

With harmonised elections around the corner in less than 12 months, why is Mwonzora rushing to talk about a dialogue? He is requesting dialogue on what grounds?

Mwonzora should prove to the electorate that he is better than any other presidential aspirant and that can only be proven in the ballot box.

Instead, he should be selling his election manifesto to the people rather than talking about dialogue. He is very aware that elections are going to separate boys from men.

Zanu PF, which is sponsoring pliant opposition parties, including Mwonzora's, will regret pouring funds on people without representation and political clout.

Mwonzora is a Zanu PF creation and must be reminded that leadership is an in-born trait. Some people are born leaders while others aspire to be leaders.

Mwonzora is not campaigning because he knows his fate will be sealed on election day.

So in what capacity is he calling for dialogue when he can't afford to field candidates in a by-election?

I understand President Emmerson Mnangagwa formed Political Actors Dialogue and that is where the dialogue should be held.

The dialogue which Zimbabweans are yearning for is about electoral reforms so that there are no more disputed election results.

Not this kind of dialogue where one is fighting to be incorporated into the feeding trough. Dialogue must not be based on selfcentredness.

Mwonzora knows that Citizens Coalition for Change leader Nelson Chamisa will burn his fingers in the ballot box.

Mwonzora is very much aware that his ship is sinking so fast and is trying to apply dirty tricks to subvert the will of the people.

The moment you see an opposition leader getting more coverage and space in the State media, then one does not need to be a rocket scientist to know that he is a darling of the ruling party.

The citizens of Zimbabwe have remained resilient as they closely monitor the situation. They are not gullible. They actually know the winning horse and do trust that it will resoundingly finish the race.
