IN response to Zec ‘Illegally moves 170 000 voters’, TAURAI MADYAUTA says: The move by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) to move 170 000 voters from their constituencies and wards stinks. It raises suspicion of election rigging. The image and credibility of the commission has been battered and it will be difficulty to restore it, especially after the 2018 election results debacle. Zec was fingered in aiding President Emmerson Mnangagwa to rig elections in 2018. Such shenanigans are likely to affect the delimitation process as Zec will use cooked up figures to demarcate constituency boundaries.
FREECOOL GWASIRIRA says: Zec should take voter registration seriously. It is at this stage where elections are won or lost. We are aware that Zec is conspiring with Zanu PF to steal our vote way before the actual plebiscite. This system of playing with figures by Zec should be condemned by progressive Zimbabweans, otherwise we are headed for another contested election in 2023.
ADMIRE MAMBO says: Thumps up to Team Pachedu for a sterling job of exposing Zec shenanigans meant to steal the will of the people. Pressure groups like Team Pachedu should be commended for promoting democracy, transparency and accountability. Zec has been struggling to mobilise people to register to vote, but it is busy secretly moving voters from their constituencies and wards to others.
IN response to It’s cold out there, ED warns ‘divisive’ Zanu PF members, CLIFFORD CHIKURU says: Talk is cheap Mr President. We are tired of your rhetoric. What we want is not empty statements, we want action. It is high time you took the bull by its horns instead of making empty threats. You have admitted that your party is rattled by factionalism, but you continue with your lip service. Let me hasten to warn you that if you don’t act, you are sinking with your party, come 2023.
IN response to ‘Govt housing projections unrealistic’, THOMAS MADZURAMHENDE says: Empty promises are not good for the country’s development. Provision of housing should be taken seriously as waiting lists continue ballooning.
