CRANBORNE Bullets gaffer Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera (pictured) admits that his side badly needs to bounce back to winning ways this Sunday when they take on WhaWha, at least to get their confidence back following a rather lukewarm start to life in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

It will be a battle of strugglers at Ascot Stadium, with both WhaWha and Cranborne Bullets, remaining firm relegation candidates at this point.

Saruchera believes his men will have an edge over WhaWha, who are smarting from a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Triangle.

The outspoken mentor and his technical staff had a difficult time this week as they tried to restore self-belief in the players.

He revealed that the team has, however, been responding well in training and that they are now expecting them to put everything into practice.

“So far so good, I can’t complain with the way we have trained. I has been a tough job trying to help our players regain their confidence but I am pleased because they have responded.

“We are taking the same approach to every game, that is not underestimating our opponents despite their current position.

“Every team has its strengths and for that we respect them especially that they are playing at home. They won their last home match and that must tell you something about their strengths,” he said.

The coach remains confident that they will preserve their Premiership,

adding that it is too early for any team to fret over being relegated to the unfashionable lower leagues.

“We might have been struggling but it's too early to start talking of being relegated. Even those in the top must be steady because it’s still anyone’s game.

“We can move out of that zone at any time and I believe that journey starts on Sunday. We are going to be better, there is no need for us to press the panic button as yet,” he added.

Ahead of this duel, two points separate the WhaWha and Cranborne Bullets as they occupy 17th and 18th positions respectively. The prison wardens, WhaWha, have five points while Cranborne Bullets are two behind.
