IN response to First Lady blames unemployment on sanctions, ISRAEL MARIWO MUYENGWA says: What happened to sanctions busting measures? What happened to the much vaunted Look East policy? Our all-weather friends from the east have not imposed sanctions on us, so cry not. Why make noise then? Unless the First Lady wants to tell us that our friends are just here to exploit us and our resources.

MAI RURU says: First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa should be reminded that her husband said sanctions were not an excuse for incompetence.

THEMBA MOYO says: We are tired of this Zanu PF regime blaming everything on sanctions, how stupid does it think we are!

TARUBEREKERA MASARA says: Countries which imposed sanctions are demanding reforms so that they can remove them, but someone wants us to pray. It is either Zimbabwe reforms or sanctions will remain in place.

‘We’ll preserve Tsvangirai legacy’, TINASHE TENGA says: Sometimes it is really difficult to change people's mindsets. Some people don't want to embrace change, especially the older generation, so it is wise to encourage youths to register and vote in large numbers. As for the older generation, I think it requires their children or grandchildren to sit down with them and have a serious conversation, they will pay attention. The only way to preserve MDC founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai's legacy is to vote Zanu PF out. Tsvangirai died fighting for a democratic and prosperous Zimbabwe. As long as Zanu PF is still in charge, Zimbabweans can kiss goodbye to good governance.

IN response to

‘Voter apathy threatens 2023 polls’, WAYNE CHAMINUKA says: The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec) is largely responsible for voter apathy experienced in recent elections. Voters regard Zec as the ruling Zanu PF party's appendage. The way it has been running elections, especially at the turn of the millennium leaves a lot to be desired. Like Zanu PF, Zec hates reforms. The election management body should embrace technology in order to improve its service delivery. Technology exposes its incompetence and shortcomings, that is why it is averse to it.
