OK Grand Challenge roars into life

OK’s flagship, the Grand Challenge Jackpot Promotion, has been launched. This will be the 33rd edition, making it the country’s biggest promotion in the retail sector. The promotion will run until June 4. OK Zimbabwe has adopted digital technology in the registration process, with 43 cars to be won and a grand prize of a Ford Ranger double-cab truck apart from weekly draws.

After a break because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the crowd puller event was brought back last year.

At the time, retail giant OK said the return of its flagship promotion helped lift volumes substantially in the quarter to June 30, 2021.

The growth was attributed to a recovery from COVID-19 restrictive regulations.

Officials said the stores remained well stocked throughout the peak of the pandemic.

The last edition of the OK Grand Challenge Promotion held last year was the first totally digital edition without any physical entry coupons as the retail giant embraced technology.

This year’s edition, which promises to be bigger and better, has more than 40 participating suppliers, and OK customers will be treated to great savings and massive discounts throughout the promotional period, which kicked off on April 8.

Running under the theme Race 2 Happiness (#Race2Happiness), the promotion has seen the retail giant simplifying the process for customers, by availing various registration channels, namely Instore, WhatsApp, its OKGC website, and the promotion mobile application.

For one to qualify for any of the draws, they have to be fully registered.

Customers have numerous chances of winning a car in any of the draws: Weekly, supplier, shop Easy and the Grand Draw. There are 43 Nissan NP200 trucks up for grabs and a Ford Ranger double-cab truck to top it all up.

All shoppers are being encouraged to be fully registered into the shop Easy Club, which means automatic entry for the Weekly, supplier, shop Easy and Grand Draw prizes.

One purchase can give a customer a chance to win in any or all of these four draws.

The grand finale will be at the MTC Borrowdale Race Course on June 4, 2022, where the lucky vehicle winners will be announced.
