IN response to Govt deploys police, soldiers for census, JUMA BANDA says: The deployment of police and soldiers as numerators is a well-calculated move by President Emmerson Mnangagwa's regime to instil fear to would-be voters next year. I smell a rat here.

JUSTICE Z ZIMUDZI says: Teachers were sidelined because the have been demanding better working conditions. Being deployed for census is very rewarding no wonder the government decided to rope in soldiers.

MANDIDI MUSHAVI HORANZI says: Why not deploy youths who are doing nothing and pay them something. Because of unemployment, youths are resorting to drugs and prostitution. The government should have considered them for such programmes rather than deploying soldiers.

LEVY MAGUIRE says: Police and soldiers are equally fed up with the regime, so their deployment as enumerators will afford them an opportunity to mingle with citizens and plot the Zanu PF downfall in the 2023 elections.

N RICHARD RANDINYU says: Point of correction. These are not police officers or soldiers, but Zanu PF youths who were given police and military uniforms. The ruling party wants to manipulate the outcome of the census. If the government was serious about creating employment, it should have prioritised the unemployed youths, especially graduates.

IN response to Khupe welcome to join CCC: Chamisa, SIBANDA WANGU says: Citizens Coalition for Change leader Nelson Chamisa should be applauded for his open door policy. This big tent mentality will win Chamisa the hearts of many. Members of the G40 faction such as Jonathan Moyo, Saviour Kasukuwere, Patrick Zhuwao and Walter Mzembi, among others should join hands with Chamisa to remove Zanu PF. Politics is a game of numbers. CCC is a mass party so everyone who has Zimbabwe at heart should join it. Thank you, Mr President, that is leadership. Good luck in 2023!

IN response to ED pampers Binga traditional leaders, PIKIRAYI says: While I have no problem with empowering communities, my question is: Was the buying of fishing rigs budgeted for? We do not want a budget overrun. Prudent financial management call for discipline.
