Harry Styles says Shania Twain taught him ‘men are trash’

-

SINGER Harry Styles revealed that he grew up listening to Shania Twain with his mother, Anne Twist, admitting that he was “forever grateful” for the memories she helped create.

Harry Styles has played to thousands of fans over the course of his career, but made his Coachella debut last Saturday.

The singer took to the stage at the iconic Californiabased music festival, performing some of his favourite tracks to an audience of over 125 000 fans.

During his show, the 28-year-old delighted fans as he belted out One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful, as well as performing unreleased tracks from his upcoming album, Harry's House.

However, the crowd was not expecting the Cheshirechap to bring out a guest performer but he left them stunned when country star Shania Twain appeared on stage.

Over the course of his solo career, Styles has frequently performed her hit song, You are Still The One, but invited the Queen of Country music to join him.

After Shania appeared on stage to perform Man! I Feel Like A Woman, Harry said: “Make some noise for Shania Twain.

“I have to tell you, in the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing.”

He added: “She also taught me that men are trash but to you, the memories you gave me with my mother, I will be forever grateful.

“So grateful that you are here with us tonight, this is very special to me, thank you so much, I hope you are enjoying it, I am having a blast.”

However, Shania appeared to be lost for words as she added: “I am so honoured and thrilled to be here, thank you, Harry. “I mean, come on, I am kind of lost for words, I am a bit starstruck, what can I say?

“I am a fan of you, I realise that when I was writing this song, you were just a kid, just a little kid.”

“It is kind of a dream and very surreal to be sitting here and singing this song with you, so I think I am just in love and this song is all about love, let us just sing about love,” she added before they sang You are Still The One.

During his set, Harry performed his latest single As It Was for the first time, as well as teased two unreleased tracks, Boyfriends and Late Night Talking.
