Dybala receives ‘lucrative’ offer from PL club

-

JUVENTUS striker Paulo Dybala has reportedly received a “lucrative” contract offer from a surprise Premier League club.

The Argentine forward is expected to leave Juventus at the end of the end of the season when his contract expires in June and there are said to be a number of teams keen.

Football Insider have reported that big-money Newcastle United are throwing their name in the hat for Dybala’s services as they look to improve the attack after the arrival of the new owners.

Fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with the 28-year-old along with Serie A champions Inter Milan.

However, the report claims the Magpies are willing to make Dybala their highest-paid player by offering him £200 000 per week if he decides to make the switch to the North East.

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has explained why the Turin club did not offer Dybala a new deal.

“Dybala has given everything for Juventus, he is a great player, but decisions are determined by moments,” Agnelli told Tuttosport newspaper.

“In December, I would have said that signing Vlahovic was impossible, in January, I thought that it was difficult. I was thinking about a possible agreement, not a transfer.

“Making an unsustainable offer would have been unfair for the club and Dybala. There are limited resources and we must choose. We picked Vlahovic, De Ligt, Locatelli ... We want to make Juventus younger with a group of Italian players, closer to the fans and the club’s values. Quality players who will allow us to keep our ambitions.”
