THE ULTIMATE EDGARS BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING TIPS

- By Tatenda Mafarachisi

Black Friday is undoubtedly our favorite shopping time of the year! If you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years…Black Friday has simply taken the country by storm. Many retailers heavily discount their product over this weekend, allowing for amazing bargains and specials.

Edgars is no different. This year, we’ve rounded up tips and tricks to help you shop better.

1. Look for the best early deals

It is without doubt that the earliest bird gets the best worm. Most Edgars stores will be opening at 6am tomorrow morning. This will mean those customers who make it to the store front as early as possible will get the benefit of shopping the choice picks. The sale will be going on for 3 days and there’ll be something new for everyone. It doesn’t, however, hurt to make sure you make good time so you get the best deal.

2. Make a wish-list

Getting the best deals this Black Friday means doing your research beforehand. Instead of falling for the cheapest deals, make a list of what you really want whether that’s a new pair of chino pants, a cellphone or something else. Make a note of any particular brands or features you’re looking for, that way you can go straight to the discounts that most interest you.

3. Plan for the crowds

With a number of Zimbabwean retailers now joining the Black Friday bandwagon over the last few years, Black Friday 2022 could be one of the biggest ever. And with so many deals, doorbusters and special opening hours, even the savviest of shoppers might get overwhelmed. If you’re heading out on the high street this year, make sure you plan for the crowds.

4. Get social.

The Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds of your favorite retailers such as Edgars are a great way to find out about exclusive deals and promotions. Retailers will often reward customers who like or follow them with special alerts to Black Friday discounts and incentives. And of course texts, tweets, and social media posts are an easy way to share Black Friday shopping intel with your friends, too.

5. Check all store policies in advance.

It’s always good to know a store’s return policies. Check the return and exchange policies for Black Friday sales to make sure that the store won’t charge a restocking fee for any item you take back.
