MIGHTY Warriors head coach Shadreck Mlauzi and his assistant Sithethelelwe “Kwinji” Sibanda had no time to rest following sojourn at the Rio Olympics in Brazil, as no sooner had they arrived in Zimbabwe they immediately left for Mbankomo, Cameroon where they are attending a Confederation of African Football coaching course for new women instructors across the continent.

The 10-day-course started on Monday and ends on Wednesday. The course line-up for both English and French speaking nations is one of the new Caf Women Instructors courses. The coaching seminar is aimed at sharpening the capacities of coaches within the continent to lead — a course designed to train and educate coaches in a systematic way of improving their knowledge and skills in the theoretical, technical and practical aspects of coaching.

Participants include coaches of national teams that would be taking part at the African Women Cup of Nations that will take place in Cameroon in November.

Zifa spokesman Xolisani Gwesela confirmed the trip and said they hope the knowledge acquired from the course will prove useful when the country participates in the womens’ Afcon that will run from 19 November to 3 December.

South Africa Football Association, assistant technical director, Fran Hilton-Smith who is a qualified Fifa and Caf instructor, is the facilitator for the course.
