YUMMY MUMMY! Back to reclaim her throne as the queen of the ramp

TWO years ago, Samantha Tshuma stunned the world with her pregnancy, spotting an adorable baby bump, which many thought would be her one way ticket to early retirement.

Well, their assumption­s were wrong . . . the former Miss Tourism Zimbabwe put the words of her critics to naught as she made an astounding return to the showbiz industry a year after giving birth, conquering the catwalk, as a yummy mummy.

The 26-year-old26 year old model resumed her favourite hobby, as she has b e e n participat­ing ata t fashion shows and also enlisting to take part in the Miss Multiverse reality TV show last year, which was to be held in the Dominican Republic.

Over the past few weeks Samantha has been wowing her social media followers flaunting her once- onceagain sexy body.

Flooding her Instagram and Facebook page with pictures, Samantha showed off her beach-ready figure, wearing different apparel, while in some she was semi-nude.

It’s no understate­ment to say that Samantha Tshuma is ready to reclaim her throne as the queen of the ramp!

She probably has it all, a beautiful baby girl (April) and several great partnershi­ps with local leading companies.

Samantha is also soon to launch her agency OpenEYE STUDIO and also revealed that she will be featuring on the covers a couple of magazinesm in New York and Canada.

She spoke to Sunday Life about her journey in the glitz and glamour industry, notingn how she has managed to remain relevant i in the eye of the mainstream modelling industry.

“I’ve managed to stay relevant b because I’m very passionate about modelling so I madema sure I keep fit and get back at it as soon as I could,” she said.

Samantha mentioned how she ma maintained a strict diet and a rigorous exercise regime.

“It’s hard work being a model. But apparently it doesn’t get any easier after the m models walk the runway.uway. runway. If you aareepassp­assionateo­ateare passionate about itt it t thene you w will do what it takes to look stunning.

“I decided to try a diet plan that hhas has really played out well for me. I believe that that good skin and wellbeing starts with the gut. If you want to get on my plan, you have to cut out a lot of things, sugar, dairy, gluten and alcohol. And I’m not gonna lie, it’s brutal. It’s been a really big challenge. It took a couple of weeks to kind of get into it,” said Samantha.

She said it was certainly not something that would be realistic to keep up all year round, “But it’s made me much more mindful of my choices.”

Samantha also spoke of how she had intentions of turning the industry around with her agency, which is set to be launched in the City of Kings soon.

“It’s not just a modelling agency, it’s a studio that focuses on modelling, dance, image consultanc­y, photograph­y, grooming and etiquette, make-up, voice clinic, interior design and events management,” said Samantha.

She also spoke of how she was still in the game and had future plans to turn around the industry locally.

“I am set to represent the country yet again at Miss Multiverse Internatio­nal which is not only a Beauty Pageant but a reality TV show this October in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean, which was meant to be last year but was since postponed.

“In my endeavour to turn the industry around I will be training and also imparting my knowledge to upco upcoming models,” she said.

Refe Referring to the current situation in the modelling indust industry in Zimbabwe, Samantha said she felt it was growin growing and people’s perception­s about it were slowly changi changing for the best.

“I t think it’s slowly growing especially on the comm commercial side, people are now booking models more f for their ads and slowly understand the term model model, despite all the bad publicity around pageantry. But withwi the re-launch of the Miss Tourism I think in a couplecou of more years if everyone in the industry or interested­in in the industry share the same vision to build it, we will make it big,” she

said. Samantha added that young models needed to remain focused on their goals to achieve their dreams. “Stay positive, stay humble, love what you do, give it your all and you’ll stay banging,” she said.
