Audit Soluswe Pry School books

-

PLEASE assist parents and pupils of Soluswe Primary School in Tsholotsho by sending a journalist to publish a story on the abuse of parents and pupils. They are abused by the headmaster who chases pupils away daily for unpaid school bus fees.

The headmaster and his colleagues in Admin applied for a bank loan without consulting parents and bought an expensive school bus in Japan. All this happened without us being informed as parents. In some meetings parents were told that the bus was a donation by the SDA Church which is the responsible authority for the school. The school allegedly applied for a dutyfree certificate signed by the Permanent Secretary of Education claiming that the bus was purchased by the church for the school. It appears the headmaster connived with the pastor directing schools to lie that way.

The Permanent Secretary of Education did not know that the information provided was false, i guess The headmaster then announced that each child should pay $65 towards the bus. As parents we have no money and our children are chased away from school daily for that money. The bus was bought in March 2016 and was delivered to the school but is still unregistered because of conflict between parents and the headmaster. The school is failing to repay the loan and the bank is threatening to confiscate the bus. The school accounts now have a negative balance because of the scam.

The headmaster is seen driving the bus daily running his errands. Sometimes the bus is driven by the deputy head .

We are worried as to whether the headmaster is allowed to apply for a bank loan on behalf of the school without consulting parents.

The chairperson of the school is the mother of the school clerk who is in charge of handling the school’s finances. School funds are handled by a family making it easy for the funds to be abused.

Please assist by investigating this matter. We wish Government auditors can audit the school’s books of finance to check for normalcy.
