POPULAR energetic singer and dancer Sandra Ndebele-Sibindi admits that she has discovered a new formula in the local music industry which has seen her music penetrating regional markets.

She is riding on the tide of her latest hot single Ingoma and its video accompaniment whose popularity had made it to be premiered on MTV and Trace Africa just to mention a few.

The unfazed popular culture songstress, in an interview with Sunday Life shared some snippets behind the success of her arguably the best collabo after the one she did with the man of the moment Mukudzei Mukombe popularly known as Jah Prayzah.

She could not hide behind the bush to categorically say that Ingoma marks her return in the frontiers of the local showbiz.

“It’s apparent Ingoma is selling itself, I think for it to go places, the way it is, is as a result of sheer hard work,” she said in reference to extensive social media marketing which she resorted to, to market the song.

Ndebele who had relocated to the capital as a result of the transfer of her legal practitioner husband, Nkanyiso Mbusi Sibindi sets it straight that hard work was the pinnacle to the success of Ingoma.

“We had a working strategy and marketing strategy on how we were going to push the song, we went to the people instead of people coming to us. We made them listen to the song instead of them waiting to hear it playing from the radio, they also listen to it on their favourite radio stations,” she said adding that Ingoma is just master piece.

With many music analysts admitting that the Malaika hit maker has matured musically, she had featured Mzoe 7 on Ingoma and pinning on Oskid to produce the song while the experienced Andy Cutta worked on the video.

“And also working with renowned personalities that have a wealth of expertise had opened wide doors for me that’s why Ingoma is now topping charts on Trace Africa, and on MTV. Ingoma marks my return, you will be seeing more of me changing genres, trying to go all pop and getting international,” she said.
