Luveve, Mpopoma for Nash Under-20 volleyball finals

LUVEVE High School will represent Bulawayo at the National Association of Secondary Heads Under-20 volleyball tournament to be held at Regina Mundi High School in Gweru from 26 to 29 July after they won inter-district competitions played at Milton High School last Friday.

With Luveve having won the tournament in the previous years both in the Under-17 and 20 age groups, they came in the competitions as favourites. Luveve beat Mpopoma in a highly interesting final match.

Luveve will be joined in the national finals by provincial girls’ champions Mpopoma who defeated Eveline.

The Nash head in charge of volleyball in Bulawayo, Ntombizodwa Gumede said the level of competition keeps getting better which is encouraging for the Metropolitan Province.

“The level of competition keeps getting higher and improving yearly in the schools, which is very positive for the province,’’ said Gumede.
