REGISTRATION for the Bulawayo Table Tennis league BTTA has now opened and the season gets underway in March.

Many participants and teams are expected to register for this year’s season including institutions of higher learning and training centers.

Last year’s gong for Most Disciplined team was clinched by ZRP Bulawayo in the men’s category, while ZRP Fairbridge claimed the women’s award after being the only teams that managed to register and field players in the league.

“This year the affiliation fees are pegged at $ 60 for each team from the previously charged $ 100. The responses we have been receiving from companies and institutions who want to join the league are very positive,” said Luba Ndlovu, the BTTA chairman.

Ndlovu revealed that the association was on a drive to expand by having more teams registering for the league.

“This year we are working to increase teams in the provincial league. I am confident that the reduction in registration fees will serve as encouragement for other teams to join,” he revealed.
