900 housing stands for Ntabazinduna
AT least $3 million has been availed for the development of 900 housing stands in Ntabazinduna, as officials push to address ballooning housing backlog in Umguza District, Matabeleland North Province.
In an interview, Umguza Rural District council chief executive officer Mr Collen Moyo said designs for the housing stands have been completed.
“Designs have already been done, we have come up with a layout which has 900 housing stands. The council, however, is still seeking partners to service the land, by servicing the land we mean creating sewer and water trunks and also creating roads within the allocated area.
“This project is meant to address the issue of the ever ballooning housing backlog,” said Mr Moyo.
He said they were working with the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe
