The easiest plants you can have are aloes, snake plant, pothos, ferns, spider plant and ivies. Spider plants can also be used as a focal point has they have unique features…it is eye-catching. Pothos has an air-purifying quality that can absorb toxins from materials like carpet.

English ivy has a real timeless elegance and it trails down furniture for a pretty effect. It is easy to start a new plant by cutting a section of a stem.

You can also combine these or herbs with other ornamental plants to decorate your home.

Some plant species have the capacity to bring a new scent to your home, absorbing bad odours or stenches. These include peace lily, jasmine, mum, rubber plant and gerbera daisy.
