Church acts on coronavirus

- Sunday News Reporter

ABUNDANT Life Revival Mission International Church will today livestream its Bulawayo service on Facebook.

The church founder and pastor, Prophet Itai Ukama also urged people to practice safety and hygienic methods to combat the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).

“Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We take this opportunity to encourage our leaders, citizens and residents of this great nation of Zimbabwe at this time of Covid-19 pandemic. We pray and believe that God will see us through even at this difficult time that our generation is going through. Psalm 23 says even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil. We encourage everyone, believers or not, to take up the practice of safety and hygiene methods that have been prescribed.”

Prophet Ukama said the church was taking heed of President Mnangagwa’s call to limit the number of people that gather in the church services to 100 people.

“At 11am, we will be livestreaming the service on our Facebook Prophet I Ukama — Inspirational Messages page. In the meantime, let us use the scare from this scourge of Covid-19 to prepare ourselves for the second coming of The Lord. He will come like a thief in the night. Please stay safe and be blessed.”
