The Ministry of Destiny Helpers

-

GREETINGS beloved nation in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God is our helper. Several times in the Bible we read about God promising and describing himself as our helper. In Deuteronomy 33:26, “There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to help you.”

God helps us at all moments, especially when we cannot help ourselves. He also delegates men, angels and the Holy Spirit to help us at critical times. Today I want to talk about the ministry of destiny helpers. God provides helpers for us to help us fulfil His purpose for our lives. Life has been designed by God that no man on his own can lift himself up in life, he needs God’s help and one way that God uses is to release his help through men. God in his dealings with men created a system or a ministry of destiny helpers to lift men and to give men an advantage in this journey of life.

There are certain people God has programmed and positioned in your life’s journey or destiny path through whom he will release his help. Destiny helpers are not just people who decide to help you, they are not well-wishers. They are people who are anointed to help. The irony is that many destiny helpers hardly know that they are helping us fulfil God’s plan for us. Destiny helpers are of various kinds, sent along our paths in times of great need.

There are different kinds of destiny helpers and I want to mention just a few of them that we come across in the scriptures, and they are the following; 1. Divine connectors; Most of the time divine connectors look insignificant because they don’t have what you are looking for but they can connect you to what you are looking for. They don’t have the power to help you but they know who can help you. In the book of 2 Kings 5:1-5 we read about the story of Naaman the captain of the host of the king of Syria. He was a mighty man of valour, but he had leprosy. Naaman was healed of leprosy because there was a maid in his household who became his divine connector, and told him about the prophet in Samaria who could help him. The entrance of divine connectors in your life can cause doors to be opened.

2. Men of access or gatekeepers; They are like divine connectors but they have what you are looking for and can help you access that. They can be gatekeepers of industries. They have the influence, ability, connections to bring you to your next level. One introduction from them makes you accepted into greatness, one word from them makes you receive an appointment letter without an application letter. They turn your prayer points to testimonies. We see in the Bible the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis. Joseph was talented but was in prison. When he met the gatekeeper of the nation who was Pharaoh, he became a Prime Minister overnight. We will discover that during his time as Prime Minister, God did not remove Pharaoh for Joseph, instead he caused Pharaoh to love Joseph and Joseph and his family were given the best land in Egypt, the land of Goshen and they were allowed to worship and serve God. Ladies and gentlemen there are certain enemies in our lives who are gatekeepers and you cannot pray them out of your life because you will need them to show you favour in order for you to pass through a certain gate.

3. The gifted; These are a group of divine helpers who are skilled in their chosen profession, talented and gifted. When they come into your life they use their gifts, talents and skills to help you accomplish God’s purpose for your life. Gifted people are an asset, they are people who make life easy for you like Aaron and Joshua in the case of Moses. They are support systems for pastors. Ladies and gentlemen no one exists as an island, you need gifted people in your life because you cannot do everything by yourself.

4. Burden bearers or carriers; These people are released into your life to help you carry your burdens when the road to your destiny becomes rough. They are people who will stand with you, they are faithful and available. They stay with you till your glory is revealed. Their assignment is to stay with you until you accomplish your purpose. Burden bearers are trusted people you can lean on in hard times, they are with you when everybody leaves. In the Bible we see that even Jesus Christ needed burden bearers to accomplish his assignment. In John 6:67-68 when everyone had left Jesus asked his disciples, ‘Then said Jesus unto the twelve, will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life’. Ladies and gentlemen, men in their darkest hour usually don’t find people who will stand by them, we need to pray for grace for true burden bearers.

5. Uncommon enemy; Ladies and gentlemen this may sound strange, but in life you will need that uncommon enemy in order to succeed and accomplish the purpose for which you have been commissioned. An uncommon enemy is a man or woman that is released on your path to destiny who helps you to bring the best out of you as he tries to oppose you and your destiny. It took Goliath who was uncommon enemy for David to become a star. In life you need that uncommon enemy who will fight what you carry in order to have divine promotion in life. That uncommon enemy will cause you to stay in the place of prayer, seeking the face of God. Prophecy in your life will not just manifest, there is a pathway or process to get there, this includes going through a furnace of affliction. David had to pass through the cave of Adullam on his way to greatness, being pursued by his enemy. He was carrying anointing of king, but still had to pass through this affliction on his way to greatness. Ladies and gentlemen we all need destiny helpers in our lives because without them our lives can be an endless struggle, full of frustration and disappointments. It is my prayer that destiny helpers can locate you, connect you, give you access and be your burden bearers. May God bless you all.
