Hwange blast Bosso90 to maintain strangleho­ld

ZIFA Southern Region Division One log leaders Hwange maintained their strangleho­ld at the top of the log when they saw off Bosso90 3-1 at White City Stadium yesterday.

The win saw Chipangano take their points tally to 60, five ahead of second placed ZPC Hwange who triumphed 3-0 over Quality Foods at home.

Arenel Movers, down in third spot after they lost to Casmyn won 1-0 over Makhandeni Pirates while fourth place occupants Talen Vision drew 2-2 with Casmyn in Turk Mine.

James Chivasa, Shepard Gadzikwa and

Canaan Nkomo were on target for Hwange while Caesar Dube scored the face saver for the Melusi “Mabaleka” Sibanda coached Bosso90.

With 10 more matches to play before the end of the season, Hwange, barring any setbacks can now start preparing for life in the country’s top flight league next season with all pointing to them making a return to the PSL from where they were relegated at the end of 2019.
