Bulawayo City ……………..................... 0 Chicken Inn ……………….............. (2) 3 MALVIN Gaki was the star of the show for Chicken Inn as they they picked up their third consecutive win in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, a resounding triumph over relegation threatened Bulawayo City at Barbourfields Stadium.

Gaki scored a brace and provided an assist to fire second placed Gamecocks to yet another win, which saw them close the gap between them and table toppers FC Platinum to just seven points. Pure Platinum Play have an opportunity to pick up three points when they face Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium this afternoon.

The Gamecocks dominated proceedings from the start and were duly rewarded for their efforts after an eight minute goal from Gaki. He had been setup by Munashe

Pini. They would double their lead after 40 minutes through Malvin Whata who showed great composure inside the box to slot home with his left, Gaki providing the assist.

Gaki would seal his brace after 73 minutes, capitalising on a Whata pass. Chicken Inn coach Antipas admitted his side did not have a good second half.

“It was a game of two halves. We dominated the first half but went to sleep in the second half. In the second half we lost our intensity but the first half was very impressive,” said Antipas.

Bulawayo City coach Farai Tawachera felt his side were their own enemies as his players are failing to listen to instructions.

“It is more relegation worries for us. What pains the most is we are giving away goals easily and it’s been like that for the last couple of games.

“We were very slow in the first half, no organisation and we gave them the goals,” said Tawachera.

This was City’s fourth defeat on the trot. City’s best chance came when Richard Hachiro brought down Obadiah Tarumbwa on the edge of the box and they were awarded a free-kick after 15 minutes. Munorwei stood behind the ball and crashed his effort against the wall. Amakhosi are second from bottom with 24 points.
