African Sun’s exhibit a hit at Sanganai

AFRICAN Sun Limited made its presence felt at this year’s Sanganai-Hlanganani World Tourism Expo in Bulawayo with an impressive, modern exhibition stand that wooed visitors and drew large crowds.

The stand’s popularity saw it being voted as the best overall exhibition. The awards ceremony was part of the official opening which was graced by the First Lady and patron of the tourism industry, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa who was accompanie­d by Minister of Environmen­t, Climate, Tourism and Hospitalit­y, Cde Nqobizitha Mangaliso

Ndlovu and his Democratic Republic of Congo counterpar­t, Mr Modero Nsimba Matondo.

The establishe­d hospitalit­y company was back in full tilt at the premier tourism event after taking a brief, Covid-19 enforced hiatus, and came tops among 270 other exhibitors from eight countries to win the prestigiou­s accolade.

African Sun’s two-deck stand, complete with casino and an upper hospitalit­y deck afforded visitors the ultimate immersive experience. For the innovative work put into the stand, Africa Sun were also voted winners for two more awards — the Best Hotel Stand and the Best Zimbabwe Stand.

The award for Best Hotel Stand was presented by the DRC Tourism Minister along with the Best Tour Operator Stand award which was won by Best of Zimbabwe and the Best Lodges Stand award which was won by Hardy House. Minister Ndlovu presented awards for the Best Motor Vehicle Car Hire Stand which was won by Easy Go, the Best Provincial Stand (Matabelela­nd North).

The Zimbabwean Tourism Minister was joined by the First Lady and patron of Tourism, Dr Mnangagwa to present awards for Best Internatio­nal Stand (Zambia Tourism Agency), Best Zimbabwe Stand (Africa Sun Limited) and best Overall Stand (Africa Sun Limited).
