STEALING is stealing, no matter what romantic Robin Hood spin Professor Jonathan Moyo tries to hide behind, or puerile attempts to trivialise crimes involving hundreds of thousands of dollars by finger pointing at others incriminated in the abuse of millions or billions of dollars. ZACC must be allowed to exercise its mandate, and at least begin to attempt to stem the tide of endemic corruption in public institutions and impunity from lawful consequences. — James Taruvinga, Harare.

Corruption and sanctions must go. The two evils are inimical to our economic development. Those proven to be corrupt and thieves of public or private funds must face the wrath of the law. Anyone being corrupt and thinking they can be protected are living in a fool’s paradise. — Cde Mzvinavhu, Harare.

It is sad that Zimbabwe did not play a game of football during the international break. With Afcon coming up, Zifa should have organised a game for the Warriors so that players get much-needed match experience and for Pasuwa to start sorting out his combinations for the tournament. I am very disappointed with Zifa. Should the players not perform in Gabon, blame should be placed on the organisers and not the team. — Richard Moyo, Gweru.

Winky D is an artiste who loves to push boundaries and be a trendsetter. I like how he takes on a different character every time he releases a new project. Now he is gone Extra-terrestrial and put on an alien costume. This is what the arts industry in this country needs, people who are willing to push the envelope and try different things even if they appear silly. — Danai Rwizi, Masvingo.
