Chance for Pasuwa to shine
EDITOR — The fact that Warriors coach Callisto Pasuwa will be testing his skills with experienced tacticians during AFCON 2017 in Gabon is a big huddle he has to overcome at all costs.
This should not, however, affect our seemingly young coach from achieving his goals.
Experience is without doubt, in some certain aspects of life, the best teacher, but in football, age is just a number.
For Pasuwa being one of the two youngest coaches should be a motivational factor and an opportunity to learn from the experienced coaches.
Being young and inexperienced should not be a problem for Pasuwa.
He should be motivated by the successes of such coaches as Frenchman Zinedine Zidane who has defied odds at Real Madrid.
Other coaches in the same mould include Tottenham Hotspurs’ Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola of Manchester City.
This all goes to show that in football age is just, but a number, whether one is a coach or player.
