Don’t doubt, but believe

- Matthew 21 vs 21; “So Jesus answered to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain ,be removed and be cast into the sea, it will be done.’”

DOUBT is an emotion that tends to get the better of us, it gives a certain sense of hopelessness.

It creates uncertainty and reinforces your worst fears. It’s probably the greatest impediment to the individual growth of one’s faith.

Doubt stands in the way of spiritual growth and emancipation. It continuously seeks to reinforce the notion that “it cannot be”.

When it takes charge it can strangle the very life out of you and this results in your faith being weakened thereby affecting every aspect of your life.

Everyday the Lord is calling the helpless, the weary and the doubtful and He is saying, come to me I will give you the strength to believe.

Faith comes from seeing, there are so many manifestations before us that show His majesty, this alone reinforces His existence and speaks volumes of his great power. Are you in doubt today? Look around you, find that one thing that you know speaks of a divine power.

Take a close look at it again, as you do, be cognisant of this fact, it is the Lord of heaven and earth who created that which is in front of you.

He can do much more than you can see, if only you can believe.

Allow Him to take you on a journey of remarkable discovery. Be blessed. REFLECTIONS OF A WORK IN PROGRESS ... For more info: Visit our website: www.thefig-tree.org; e-mail us on info@thefig-tree.org; catch us on StarFM, Monday to Friday at 0620hours.
